Afforestation and establishment of woody plantations in Hungary

The National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) in cooperation with the Hungarian Association of Young Farmers (AGRYA) invited the team of Ökoforestino Kft. to a training program of young farmers and students in Hungary, with the aim to promote the government’s EU-subsidised afforestation program and establishment of woody plantations.

On November 19-21, 2019 Ökoforestino Kft. presented the subsidy scheme of Hungary’s Rural Development Program integrated into the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy, appointing to the possibility of a co-operation between Hungarian land owners or land users and our D4EU project industrial partner IKEA Industry Malacky.

Presentations were held in six cities around Hungary, reaching out to approx. 130 farmers, members of professional agricultural organisations, university and secondary school students.
